Repeat Pattern Collection
This project focused on developing repeat pattern designs for woven, knit, and print fabrics based on trend research and storytelling visuals. Motif creation was executed using Adobe Illustrator.
Concept
This spring women’s wear collection is inspired by the iconic ballet, Swan Lake. A story of the pursuit of love. It intersects two contrasting characters Odette, who is the swan princess, and Odile, the evil sorcerer’s daughter. Their opposing personalities are represented through soft, light and bold, dark motifs. Elegance and purity meet bold seduction, encompassed by moody colors.
Woven Repeats
Resized and performed color reduction for repeats.
Knit Repeats
Developed knit samples and created alternative colorways for collection.
Print Repeats
Edited motifs for proportion, reducing dpi and stray pixels without losing quality.
Texture Mapping
Used technical flats and high quality fashion blanks to render for texture mapping on Adobe photoshop.
